An Insight into the Host Adaptation of Andes orthohantavirus through its Codon Usage Signatures

Abstract

To unveil the adaptive and multiplication strategies of the Andes virus that enable its persistence in the host body and selective virulence, deconstruction of the host-virus interactions is essential. By exploring its coping mechanism, its requisites of tolerance and resistance in terminal hosts i.e. humans can be investigated in depth. Thus, this study was undertaken to scrutinize the innate and adaptive translational niches of the virus in layers. Establishing a relationship between the codon usage and the host adaptation mechanism of the virus, the paper addresses the lack of characterisation of the Andes's replication techniques and discusses implications for future work on the topic.
